🎉 Thank you, Društvo VTIS, for having me at your jubilee 10th symposium. 🎉

It was a real pleasure to participate as a workshop leader on science communication 🎤:

Mission possible! (A Presentation You Will Remember).

During the workshop, we discussed different aspects of presenting scientific work effectively:

🔹 dealing with the fear of public speaking

🔹 crafting a clear and engaging story

🔹 delivering it successfully

Being able to present your science with clarity while sparking curiosity, in a way that your audience not only understands it but also remembers it, is incredibly important.

When you present your work, the focus should always be on your audience: what you can offer them and how they can benefit from your talk.

That said, if you do a good job, you may benefit as well.

Clear and engaging communication can lead to:

🔹 new collaborations

🔹 invitations to projects

🔹 invited lectures

And all of this is possible only if your audience understands you.

Getting back to the workshop, I would also like to thank all the participants for their engagement, as they were a great and involved group that made the workshop better and taught me a thing or two ❤️.

Btw, if you are a Slovenian student considering going abroad, do reach out to the amazing people at VTIS — they might be able to help you 😉.
