I am usually presenting or teaching
But on the NIB day I co-moderated the event.
But what was NIB day?
It was an event organized with the purpose of promoting our work inside the institute and getting to know each other better.
Because we cover so many different topics, from investigating water and land biodiversity, to exploring microorganisms, and studying the molecular building blocks of life (to name only a few), it is difficult to keep track.
This is why such an event is so important.
Not trying to sound subjective, but we do a lot of great stuff!
It was a nice experience filling the moderator’s shoes, especially since I had a great co-moderator.
Would I do it again?
Yes.
Would I choose it over teaching or presenting?
At this moment, probably not 🤷♀️.
Because there is an enormous fulfilment in being able to impart knowledge, inspire and support.
