If you want to feel this good (aka like I did in this photo) after giving a talk, I have good news.

You can.
But I’m not going to lie, it will take time and energy.

The only reason I wasn’t stressing out before giving a speech at my best friend’s wedding (and don’t get me wrong, I was still nervous) was because I had prepared and had quite some experience.
Over the years, I kept putting myself into uncomfortable speaking situations (and often asked myself why I was doing it 😄).

So I ended up:
🎤 Giving a TEDx talk.
🎤 Speaking in Ljubljana’s main square
🎤 Doing a Science Slam
🎤 Pitching to investors
🎤 Delivering invited lectures
🎤 Even rapping in front of scientists (yes, rapping like Eminem or whoever is popular now).

Every single one of those experiences made the next speaking challenge a little less intimidating and a little more enjoyable.
Improving your presenting skills is much more than preparing for the next presentation.

It can give you the confidence to speak your mind in situations where you otherwise wouldn’t.
To ask that question that you would otherwise ignore.
And to enjoy delivering the speech at your best friend’s wedding.
