You go to bed a few times, do a few things… and then suddenly –

you realize it’s been 7️⃣ years to a day since you participated in Science Slam 🙀!

Science Slam gives researchers a chance to share their work in a short and engaging way that anyone can understand.
Its goal?

To bring science closer to everyone.

At that time, I was doing my PhD at NIB, exploring whether we could use cold plasma for virus inactivation, especially in water.

Back then, virus inactivation with plasma was still largely unexplored. So we were (and still are) one of the few groups in the world working on it.

Honestly, I was super nervous before my talk 😅, but I’m so glad I did it.
I met amazing people, got to spread the word about science, and even started a collaboration with a Slovenian artist 🎨.

If you’ve ever thought about participating in something like this, take this as your sign to do it ✨.

Because every time you put yourself out there, there is a chance you will change someone’s life for the better 💙.
